Quote: Do you like trolling this thread, what did Eagle turn you down or something? I do not get why you come and doom gloom here??

You guys enjoy coming here and claiming how we will shrink to death, but this is real peoples jobs man, you should want the best for everyone.

Eagle doing well, would be this industry doing well. Eagle has a great flow up to mainline jobs, we pay pretty well for entry level regional flying, and the AA guys have done a great job keep our scope limited, so we dont fly a bunch of 90 seat jets for $30/hr. You should in some regards hope more regional's move to be like eagle, not hope we go out of business. We also have great travel benefits, that more regionals should want.

I bet you post on here all this crap, then when you need to jumpseat on us, you put on your other face and stop in the cockpit and say how you hope we do well, and say how much worst things are at your regional and how you think we will keep all our flying and be gone to AA in no time.
NAH, in all honesty. I'm bored and its fun to ruffle some feathers and listen to people cry about how great their airline is. Especially newbies to 121. Also, I don't Jumpseat on AE. the 145 cockpit sux and way to cramped. Besides, you guys don't go anywhere I can't get to on our company equipment and our JS capabilities are just as good as yours my young friend.

I was talking NON REV not JS, and AE has by far the best non rev in the industry, at least for 5 more years.

AND no one wants to loose their job, its not even funny to ruffle about. I feel terrible for the COMAIR guys, and trying to wish us the same fate is just sick, but maybe Karma will work it all out. Maybe you need to go watch some 'hey my name is earl'

Quote: Well thats a stretch too, there is not much feed out there anymore, but we will see. I do not think AMR will go BK unless they keep bleeding for 2 more years, which I think once they start parking they Dino80s the losses will stop fast.

But I like the support, I think the attrition to AA, will out weigh shrinking. We are really inter tied to AA, it is going to take them awhile to untie us, if it even truly happens and gets approved.
But you just said oil was going down. So trading a free and clear asset for a payment puts them in a better position? Or is it the obsolete 35 seat jets that turns you on? You can bet those will all head to the sands in a BK filing.Wait how do they finance new jets in BK.

Flow up? If BK happens how much capacity do you think would get cut. You could make it to another Major twice as fast then waiting for that pie in the sky? Look i'm not trying to ruin any dreams here but you need to look at the reality. look at all other airlines that put in a flow agreement and tell me how great those worked out for the pilots. Why would this be any better Plus going through BK a judge can toss anything out. I know your excited but BK is very messy and I hope for all new hires it doesn't happen.

Well since its all being run now by Mesaba, I would say so. There's almost no Colganites in the higher ups. Infact, you'll soon Here "Mesaba" rather than Colgan callsigns in the near future.

Dude, we have non-rev ability on United/CAL/US Airways, plus whom ever else that has CASS/ID90's/ZED FARES ect. This includes, wives, family members, companions (girlfriend or other) It's not a huge issue.

Second, I don't wish ill on any pilot group. I just feel that AE is misleading a young pilot crop into the "golden ticket" scheme of getting an AA flow up. Think about it... Before the "golden ticket" AE wasn't getting many applications. Now, they sweeten the pot or so it seems, and they're bombarded with apps. Oh the SJS will wear off when more Q's are brought into the mix and not by us.... There's an order from a north american carrier to order Q400's. Rumor is Trans States and Skywest. It's not us because we need to staff the 9E and Saab flying before we can take on more aircraft.
Watch out Mighty 145's. The trubro-prop is coming to get ya

they are 37 and 44 and are a small part of the fleet, and it is better than having all 50 seat jets, but having a ton of routes that depart EVERY SINGLE DAY with 25 people on the flight.

it's not the only game in town. Given the chance, I'm out. If I'm here, I'm here. It took how many years for out flow throughs to get to AA? Coming to EGL for just the flow may or may not be a good idea.

Now that AMR is one step closer to BK how attractive do they look now? I would expect 20%-30% capacity cut and all pilots taking a large pay cut. What's interesting is now that Eagle is on it's own I wonder how easy a BK court can trow out the exclusive contract and put lift up for bid. I would expect job security for a new hire nonresistance if BK is to be filed. With Eagle flying equipment thats obsolete I would expect TSA and others to to be winners of AMR lift.
First, Eagle has not been spun off or sold. AMR has been selling or spinning eagle everytime they were in contract talks. So, best advice is to wait until they actually do something instead if simply threatening.

Second, last I checked there is no exclusive contract with eagle from AMR. in fact, until and if they are separated they dint even have more than a one page contract... which says they do what AA/AMR says.

Third, Obsolete aurcraft according to who? That idiot Boyd?? A wise man once said, nobody ever went broke flying too small am airplane. The same can't be said for too large an airplane.

Fourth, AMR's theoretical plan is to transfer the planes to AA along with the majority of the debts by buying them from Eagle.... So, eagle gets a pile if cash and can buy what they want.
