I think distance from home is the scary thing for everyone. Coupled with irrational fear of turboprops. I'm not sure which is the bigger factor for people...

did all of you have the 250 PIC before you were able to interview? thanks so much.
They list it as a preferred minimum. I interviewed with plenty of TT, but just a tad short on ME. They allowed me to re-send my stuff in after I got the few extra ME hours. Are you saying you have 800/100, but not 250 PIC? How is that?

that is absolutely correct. I have more than 800TT and more than 100 multi but not the 250 PIC. is that a problem or cause of concern? and reason for not being able to interview? thanks

Can someone explain to me secondary bidding? What it is and how to do it?

According to two of their recruiters, they do allow sole manipulator PIC. So for anyone with even the reduced minimums, the 250 PIC should not be an issue.

Been there, done that. I'm happy I did it now. The guys that just go into the jet and go straight to the ORD-MLI, and DFW-AMA type stuff miss out on so much. That crap gets old quick. Flying the carribean is awesome. A definite life experience.

You're correct, it is a secondary vacation bid.

Vacation...if you have vacation and bid for certain dates, but didn't get it, you can bid the left overs.

The SJU idea doesn't appeal to me simply due to commute, it has nothing to do with turboprop or jet. I'd be grateful to have the job, regardless of equipment.

As for the ATP course, how long after interview would one normally expect to be in that course? Once complete with the course, how long of a gap is it normally before the start of the real class in Dallas?

Many thanks in advance.
