Eagle is wholly-owned. You find yourself flying outsourced 737's or just the unemployment line. Either way, good luck.

I just set up my interview for December 20th yesterday at Eagle. LOL Maybe i'll be staying at the bottom of the seniority list!

Welp, so much for enthusiastically waiting for a class date... Time to keep on truckin'.

The sky isn't falling. Age 65 finally spins up this summer with hiring to offset the date in one year. I can guarantee hiring will boom from every part 135 cargo outfit on up to the majors.

As an Eagle graduate I wish everyone there the best.

I am not trying to scare anyone... but the history of "wholly owned" airlines under a parent going through bankruptcy was not all that great given Comair's situation.

I believe Majors have come to realize they are better off letting regionals race to the bottom rather then owning them.

It seems that Delta uses Comair to fill the gaps as needed as they don't have to re-write contracts. The once great Comair is just a plug now. Very sad. :(

I hope the same is not true of Eagle, but fear it will be. Godspeed, guys.

Let this be a lesson to all in the volatile industry. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Get a second career outside of Aviation because there will forever be instability, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies. If you come into this industry thinking that the Airline is going to treat you with respect and dignity, your sadly blinded by ignorance. Protect yourself, Protect your family. Get hired, Get your experience, Move on. Expect the worst and Hope for the best and you will never live a day with heartburn and disappointment. Never allow an Airline to divide the pilot group. Ok I digress... Fly safe, have fun and keep the blue side up!

Agreed, but: Since Eagle is still wholly owned, and, restructuring invloves cutting unprofitable aspects (135/140's)................

Eagle Class '96
DHL Class '00
Eagle Class '11

Good God... Will everybody relax? The sky is not falling. This is a Chapt. 11 BK, not a CH 7. AMR is not going anywhere. More than ever AMR needs Eagle and have said as much in their BK filings... If anybody has bothered reading it. I doubt it...

You guys can't always play that safe card and scream: COMAIR anytime something like this happens. These are completely different companies under different circumstances...

Furthermore, the TA we were being forced fed these past few months is gone. All flow through agreements are still in place. All aircraft ordered by AMR are still coming.

Beyond that whatever happens is pure speculation at this point. Just relax. New hire classes are NOT being canceled, and there is no reason to cancel them. Hiring is not stopping. Retirements at AA will continue and probably pick up pace.

AMR needed restructuring and that is what will happen now.

I agree, being that I went through the Comair BK, I can say without a doubt that the AA, AE relationship is way different then the DL, OH relation. The worse thing anyone can do is believe anything they hear. Especially on here. People will spill out every rumor they hear.
