I talked to the hiring department and they told me that it was business as usual for them. They were told to keep hiring and keep the same hiring plan in place.
Maybe the company will wait until the day after Xmas to drop the "F" bomb!

yeah, maintain an operating expense and go to the bk judge and say at these pay rates we cannot keep training. even though there will be no attrition. AMR loves the holidays for good will wishes.

Yea, they have sent me plenty of emails confirming 12/05 class. Class dress code, hotel info, confirming I will be their 3 times. Can't wait to get in the door. :D:D:D

It has been a while since I visited the Regionals forum and wanted to know, did Eagles' Memorandum of Understanding signed by your Grievance Committee Chair which basically waived Section 1 live past the aborted IPO scheme?

If it did, I would be very concerned about how American restructures regional flying during bankruptcy. American has made it clear they are after American Pilots' work rules and I'd assume, scope.

Thanks for the info. The review board goes over my paperwork tomorrow, so I hope to get a class date in January.
Out of curiosity, what do they require for class as far as dress code goes?

Jeans or slacks, collared shirt (no tee shirts). Sneakers are fine. Bring a fleece or something cause the sims make the classrooms COLD. Good luck!!!

A neatly coordinated denim-type suit is acceptable.

love2av8 and DSRoss996, thanks for the replies. Here's to hoping I'll still have a class to go to in January!

Cold is an understatement. Bring NASA certified Arctic gear. You will see your breath, frost will form on your glasses and occasionally you will hear a "thump" as one of your less insulated class mates succumbs to the effects of hypothermia - "one less number above me" - you think.

Yeah Thanks so much for the info about the December class. It makes me feel a little better. I am going down to the Regional jet course tomorrow which they are paying for and was afraid that I would take the course and then they would send out a email saying, "Oh by the way we arent hiring anymore, good luck" I was told I was on track for the January 2nd class. Im keeping my fingers crossed.
