You are correct, with a few ATR Pilots looking to big the CRJ it will create even more displacements of the CRJ. It looks like it will be safe to say that those currently on the CRJ training pipeline might not get to fly the airplane. It's about to get interesting, and the company is just going to drop it all at once. The displacement of the 100 or so ATR pilots and the few CRJ pilots will create a few hundred training cycles.

And how exactly are you plaining this move? You mean if a displacement comes up on your base you will try to proffer for the displacement and bid the CRJ! Don't be surprised if the Union and Management come up to an agreement where the CRJ is of limits during this displacement bid. Not trying to create any rumors, but think about the training cycles that would be saved if this was the case, no need to create extra training cycles if the CRJ is overstaffed.

If they want to do what WHAT is saying...they have to get rid of our contract first.

Don't have to get rid of the contract, they could just enter an agreement with the union for a one time deal, the same way that they have done in the past for various things. We know this, AMR has an agenda but they ain't spilling the beans until they are ready to! Here is another speculation, look how AMR is calling the contract "next generation". One would think they are referring to a B scale for the smaller narrow body, in other words AMR will create and LCC within a legacy, the regionals have served their time and are becoming expensive to operate, look at Pinnacle, Mesa, Republic and ASA/Express Jet without SKW financial backing. 50 Seaters will not be replaced by 70 seaters they will be replaced by narrow body aircraft with less frequency. If you don't think this is a possibility look at the last contract offered to the AA pilots, look at the new aircraft order and look at what they are/aren't doing with Eagle.
