I've heard something very similar except the source was a lot more concrete than a check airman. Possibly good things to come (at AA that is) but as we all know only time will tell.

That you for that off the wall outlandish comment, that is nonfactual. Please provide me with why in your OPINION the TA would have resulted in furloughing into the amounts of 400+....Do you think that we will hold our traction on keeping flying if we stand up and block PBS? What do you think the negatives would have been to being divested as opposed to now being wholly owned and in BK? I would like to know what you truly think each outcome would result in, as opposed to just using "STOP TALKING, GOJET is hiring" as your 'talking point'.
FYI I was just saying your cool with pbs and giving in to what managment wants....Gojet might be a better fit for you...

I flew with many senior "experienced" capt's that predicted exactly what would happen to a T...First our MEC would give away all our airplanes to AA so they could add more debt to file Bankruptcy-Check...Second they would try and divest us as fast as possible and try to get us to extend our contract-Check...Push it down our throat and scare us that its our only hope before the end of the year because they are planning a bankruptcy before the 4Q earnings-Check....The only reason we didn't get divested was because managment knew that TA would never pass...If we were divested right now they would walk right up to the judge and bid out our flying... We would not be part of AA and just have a contract like all the other contracts they are trying to void threw bankruptcy..Remeber our MEC gave away our rights to go with the aircraft...Its going to be harder to convince the judge to diversify the feed when AA owns 3200+ eagle pilots...Comair ****ed off delta when they had a strike and grounded delta to a halt..Why do you think airlines whipsaw their regionals now?..guess what? we can't strike because we gave that right up and that TA would of extended our current contract 8 more years...It doesn't matter now because its all in the judges hands and can go in any direction...This was all planned in advance and out of our hands.

Damn man you seem to have it all figured out, sounds like a real conspiracy. Do you think that AMR might have actually faked 9/11 so that they could force paycuts, they knew 11 years ago, that they wanted to get pay cuts out of American Eagle pilots?? I bet they got UAL to join right in, and even Bush liked the idea so he could invade Iraq??

He's too busy pushing other pilots down tall stairways to have any time for class.

You're expecting this from a supposed professional airline pilot that advocates pilots making $31 per hour to fly an Airbus and would happily propose that to his beloved management in order to do just that if he can successfully seize another carriers planes ?

Ummm, industry average? Eagle's the second highest cost behind Comair. As far as doom and gloom, yeah many are but you always hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
It doesn't matter anyway, from what I've seen this past year and a half their MEC will roll over on whatever management wants. Expect sizable changes.
