Yeah, I've been an organizer. I've also been a poker player. and when you have a crap hand, sure, you can go all in and hope everyone else caves, but they seldom do. Better off to fold than lose your arse.
There is the fundamental difference. I don't believe our hand is that crappy. The pilots of XJT are not willing to roll over as easy as you.

You got Slaphappy and Capt. Tony on here saying we should just roll over and take it in the can...... Screw it, ignore our contract.....

If Jerry wants to negotiate, fine..... So far, from the Bogeyman everybody has made him out to be on here, I half expect to find him in my house tonight eating my dog.

I expect someone from SKYW not to understand contracts and their importance.

But for you, Capt Tony, a brother and someone (at least you claim) to have helped organize. You ought to be ashamed, Bro. Your posts regarding this have been garbage.
XJT simply wants their contract honored. Skywest simply wants to honor the INTENT of your scope by providing the protection of your aircraft and jobs in exchange for not forcing union and non-union airlines to merge. If the intent of your scope is met, what more do XJT pilots want?

Thats just the surface of the issue. The real issue no one is really talking about, and that has to do with skywest trying to expedite the process of this merger so that the CAL/UAL pilots have little time to negotiate regional jets back onto their property, IMO. I think that is why CAL and SKW management are in bed together right now. Just think what a 10 year CPA would do to the UAL/CAL pilots efforts, it'd be quite a set back. Why else would skywest be knocking on our (XJT's) door?

Valid point, but what was the "intent" of the "18 month pay freeze" at SKW a few years back?

I know the answer, but how long did that "18 month" freeze last anyway?

"Intent" or a "promise" is one thing, legally binding documentation is whole different deal.

Who knows what's really going on behind the scenes, but that's a valid point. JA may be trying to lock up the 50 seat feed to INC. since the possibility of losing 70 seat to CAL/UAL, as well as 70/90 for DAL if they tighten scope as well.

True. Who really knows. Point is, Skywest needs XJT as much as XJT needs Skywest, thats why jerry will try and give us everything we want except 1 list. For the future of this profession I hope CAL/UAL pilots can negotiate some of our flying back on their property before Skywest lours us (our MEC) in and signs this 10 year deal. Skywest/ASA pilots should be wanting the same.

It's over, XJT is proceeding without looking for a SLI, just got the e-mail from the MEC. Seems JA has promised the world to XJT and ASA to integrate quickly and he will pay $$$ for it! We shall see!

Good that makes me happy and i don't care if they gave you guys 100% of the growth for the next 50 years. Just as long as I don't have to share the cockpit with an xjt or asa union pilot.

Also if this is true then "I told you so". There was nevery any doubt in my mind that the union would cave and they have proven once again how useless they are.

Yeah, how useless they are. Where do you think those payscales and work rules you have came from? Not JA.

You'll never get it.
