ALPA!! What a joke of a racket they are. They are living fat of of your union dollars while they send some 3rd rate loser pilot negotiator to go %$ck up your next contract rather than spend some cash on a real pro. ALPA is the reason that the guy who dumps your lav makes more than the guy in the right seat. I am not sure who is the bigger disgrace, ALPA or the idiot minions who support them. I guess one deserves the other. ALPA is all talk. Always has been and always will be. If they ever had any real pull they would have used it by now. ALPA is a toothless yapping chihuahua.

The pilot pay negotiations in the major section sums what gutless bunch of weaklings most of you are pretty accurately. The few of you who are worth your salt are grossly outnumbered.
Yes, & clearly SAPA is doing so much better. Looking forward to industry leading contract they'll produce.

If you're going to dog ALPA you need to sight their flaws. Clearly the CAPA & independent unions are doing so much better. How are those awesome rates USAPA have got their pilots? How about APA? When is the last time they have negotiated a raise for their members? SWAPA managed to bring their rates somewhat close to pre bankruptcy rates, but they are still considerably less. UPS got their rates once ALPA negotiated new rates for FedEx. AirTran bailed out to ALPA after years of failure from their previous union.

And you ALPA supporters gutless?

I’m sorry that you're an 8 year FO and I mean that respectfully but your statement doesn’t mean much. All of our flying belongs to mainline and mainline only, SKW isn't responsible for CA's reductions it's mainline. Airplanes shift, sometimes its growth and sometimes it's replacements for older aircraft. A time will come when SKW will see reductions, not today or tomorrow but it will happen.

Best of luck and I mean that.

About alpo.

Lee Moak is the pres of alpa and you fools at skywest still want to bring that organized crime to skywest? Are you crazy or just stupid? Alpa at the regionals just became that more silly because of his election.

Not that I am worried, the so-called OC at skywest can't even get a good comitee going anyway. Its been almost a year and you still havn't gotten the people.

All I can say is the times growing closer. Our rejection of the pay package turned a few heads so please be patient. We realize we need to get things moving sooner rather than later. If you wish to learn more on the side PM me. Until then I'm limited as I'm not the one running the show.

Such insight from a guy who posted this a few weeks ago.

What I am suggesting would not increase or decrease the gap between the FO salary and the CP, it would remain the same. You just want the CP salary to be higher and higher comparing with the FOs. Yeah , Yeah you paid your dues, so have I brother, I have been flying commercially for more than 16 years (done metro and many more) so I know by now how the **** smells. By the way, I never said that I personally deserve any kind of higher pay raise than others. I am talking about the lowest paid pilots in the company.

My suggestion helps the BRO FOs the most and then the rest of the pilots that needs to get up to an acceptable level. You see... it's not about me you or the low paid CPs that you mention. It is about starting repairing the industry one step at the time and get the guys at the bottom of the pay scale up to a level that is not for MC. Donals or any other place that you can go and work as a high school dropout.

What you did or did not during your FO time is not relative to the story here but I can say that much that it seems like the FOs in the company today have much more balls than what you had at the time. At least they say they dont like the current situation and if you did not know, freedom of speach and fighting injustice is a traditional American thing that not you or anybody can shut up.

Wrong about what? Saying I support equal improvements for all??? You'd rather keep things divided in the pilot group and continue with "us against them" mentality that management loves to use to divide and conquer?
I completely understand what you're saying, you however seem to lack the ability to comprehend what I was saying in my response! I more than most, have always gone to bat for the f.o.'s here...However I don't believe that your idea of limiting/hosing those at the top(that helped the company achieve all the growth that created positions for the current f.o.'s), is required in order to bring up the pay for all the pilots in this company! I'm saying if Chip got an almost 40% pay increase last year, they had the money to buy ASA, Continental Express, Air Mekong, and that carrier in South America.... I feel there should be an ability to offer ALL the pilots a fair increase. You seem to feel that it's okay for the senior guys to keep sliding backwards since we no longer get the COLA we used to get yearly, and we no longer get longevity increases. By the way I was on the EMB 120 here for many years, and like I stated before, feel that the 5% increase for the f.o.'s on the EMB should have been made across the board for all of us! You have your opinion(no matter how one-sided and biased), and I have mine.

I've also discussed this with many of my f.o.'s and they all felt that a 5% across the board offer for all of us would have been the fairest way to go, and would more likely than not have passed. So that's not just my opinion!

You and I both understand that, but it's the junior FOs you were referring to and their belief that ASA/XJet might get "their flying".

A glance at the N numbers in the SKW fleet would bring home your point to them.

Since none of the pro-ALPA Skywesters have yet to post their positions on this thread about ASA/XpressJet and ALPA filing for Single Carrier Status and forcing a merger/integration of all three pilot seniority lists if ALPA gets on property at Skywest . . . . I guess I will just keep asking questions . . . .

Who on this thread knows the current compensation structure for ALPA executives and employees . . . . all I could find on these forums was this older posting from 2006. Does anybody have the current salaries and benefits numbers for ALPA leadership?

As a pro-ALPA Skywester, I would welcome an full integration of all three carriers and I say that a a very junior FO on the west coast. Combining all three seniority lists would eliminate the potential for any future TSA vs. Gojet or Mesa vs. Freedom scenerio.
