I would love to see the reaction of guys that become furloughed at Mesaba and get stuck underneath the people at 9L or 9E that would be below them at Mesaba. Hey wait a min, that could be me

So whats going to happen to all those Saab drivers they're hiring off the street? My buddy was offered a job and starts training in a few weeks. Is he a lamb just being led to slaughter due to a furlough? Makes no sense to hire people to fly an airplane that's just going to be parked...

Then he isn't being hired at Mesaba he is being hired at Colgan. And yes he will be at the bottom of the combined list and yes he will be at the most risk of furlough becasue of that. Will he be furloughed depends on how short staffed Pinnacle and Colgan are. We will be very overstaffed at Mesaba based on current plans here with all Saabs being parked in the next year.

The company set the goal to continue to dodge the nmb in relation to the 9e section 6 negotiations. This just bought them 5 more months before we all go back to our corners and we at 9e go back to mediated negotiations. They will bring the xj planes over and xj pilots will have to come with them. However there is no procedure in place for integration if that happens, so they will lay the xj pilots in our unions hands and make us all give something else up in ta2 just to give the xj pilots a fair shake. I hope I'm worng, but knowing how these things go at 9e, this is what I expect.

The next couple weeks are going to be insanely busy, and undoubtedly interesting to see how this plays out. Nothing is impossible, but in 10 days there is alot to get done- which in its own right brings even more skepticism to the process.

Mesaba continues to shrink. How is that for making it clear what is going on.
It almost sounds like you and some others are trying to threaten us at Mesaba or are trying to instill fear in us. Why?

No threats. And if by fear you mean trying to point out that I have seen these exact same emails for 5 years now in about 3 different cycles then yes you should be a little cautious. Mesaba is looking for people to take unpaid leaves for all saab pilots and 900 fo's. I would think the only reason they are doing this is because they know there will be no integration anytime soon. For them to do this the company would have to think or believe that it is easier to furlough mesaba pilots and hire them on at pinnacle or colgan as new hires than it is to keep them where they are at and have an integration.

My comments were directed at 2 different post. The first was to the person who said mesaba pilots trust their elected officials more than pinnacle pilots trust theirs. Trust in the elected officials doesn't mean jack. Mesabas elected officials have no more power or capability than ours do. Until the NMB says different we are all at the mercy of the company and what they want. It is in everyones best interest to get this done and get us all together and working under one agreement. That is great for the pilots. That is why it wont happen anytime soon.

Second several mesaba guys have posted on here that they cant be furloughed for a year. There is a lot of misinformation about this merger and I was pointing out to the person who made that post that it isn't true. They can be furloughed. That clause in the mesaba contract only applies to being furloughed as a result of the merger not because of a loss of airplanes.

I would like to say I really hope they get it done but that would mean for me to believe there is hope. Like I said earlier we are beyond hope and need a miracle for the company to come to an agreement on scheduling, pay, retirement, etc etc in 1 week and 3 days.

I don't see what would lead you to believe this. It's only for December. There was no intergration planned by that month anyways.

I'm surprised we haven't seen another realignment yet.
