July 1rst was the buyout? Wow, time flys!

Then they can move airplanes at their will. Then the questions comes to which XJ pilots can they take. The top 600 or just those in that airplane?

I believe the furlough clock started sept 1rst.

I haven't thought that far, I still have some hope left in me that we can get a TA before Christmas.

That is in the XJ contract as well. Not one airplane can move until a system is agreed upon as to how the pilots will move with the planes. If there is no agreement, the planes do not move. They could however keep the Mesaba certificate and move the 9E planes. Not sure what the 9E contract says about asset transfers, but management could get creative.

It's the XJ contract I'm referring to, and it only gives a 12 month grace period from the time the company is sold.

nah they wont do that. They are already planning on keeping the mesaba certificate anyway. All of colgans planes will be brought over and colgan will be (the name and airline) gone. No reason for them to move 9e planes and colgan planes to the most expensive contract amongst the three airlines if this jcba falls through.

My bet is we were really close and plan to finish up on January 3. So please no picketing events over the holidays we promise we can work this out after the new year.

It might be a more expensive contract but XJ's costs are 30% lower per block hour and 60% lower per block hour than Pinnacle and Colgan respectively. Right out of the 10Q report on the Pinnacle website.

I would imagine a large portion of that is due to the hiring that 9L and 9E are doing. I don't forsee this happening anytime soon. And even if by the grace of god we got a contract tonight, we still have the sli to deal with and the prospect of fences which will throw a wrench in everything

hehehe. And do you know why? Do you really think if they seperated us all apart mesaba would be 60% cheaper than colgan. There is a reason for that and it won't last long.

Yeah but WHEN did they want to continue talks? That is the question.

Thats not the big picture.

You need to compare costs per ASM and Revenue per ASM. Then you'll see a big difference.

Revenue - Cost = Profit = what matters.
