I am still digesting the Executive Summary and the pros and cons of the TA, however the comparison of PCL/MSA/CJC to UsAir and America West is comparing apples to oranges.

Thumbs down

A and B scale at the regionals, now? Wow...I feel sold out...

But on the other hand...we have GREAT 401k contributions...so it's a 'YES' vote for me!

There is a lot of talk about the pay rates, but no one has mentioned insurance. I know in our crew room it has been a hot topic. Does this new insurance plan nix the pay raise for 9E guys with families? I don't know how Mesaba and Colgan plans were, but for 9E this is pretty significant, no?

I think you're confusing things. When you were first hired, were you on your 0th year or your 1st year?

Furthermore, have you completed 7 years at your company? If so, you are an 8th year captain, NOT a 7th year, and on the 7-8 year scale.

Nobody is going backwards?! Would the 9E pilots sign off on that??? Don't take it the wrong way, Bartok, I'm not mad at you...the Colgan guys are getting ****ed on at this time and being told that it's raining. What it boils down to is that we don't hold enough votes to make a difference. Our MEC will sign off on this TA, and XJ/9E pilots will do the voting for us.

We'll be left with the same crap pay, and no upgrades. VERY disappointed with the JNC...

XJsaab is correct Colnago. I have been here 10 years(plus a few days) and I am on 10-11 year pay.

0-1 yrs is date of hire till first year anniversary. (you have completed 1 year)
1-2 is 1 year anniversary to 2nd year anniversary (you have completed 2 years)
etc.

so if you have been here 8 years you are on 8-9 payscale, if you have been here 4 years you are on 4-5 payscale, if you have been here 5 years you are on 5-6 payscale.

The same crap pay? Is that all youre looking at? Im not going to go back and reference the scale, but isnt the difference a matter of a buck or two? I would say the work rules are night and day to what you are currently working under. If youre going to vote no because of a buck or two then so be it. At least wait to read the real contract if it gets out of the MEC's. And bottom line, the Q is still a prop and this is still the airline industry. Did you expect the same rates as a 900 because its 76 seats? Its not that far off from the 200 granted it is less, but you need to look at the big picture of the contract. Im not telling you how to vote, but at least look at it and give it a thorough opinion instead of voting no because of a couple bucks.
