The other rates look good though. The jet rates are actually pretty damn nice. However I dont agree a 50 seat jet should pay more than a 74 seat turboprop...

Pretty much what it means is current Mesaba Saab pilots will make more than future Mesaba saab pilots (IE when Colgan pilots get merged in with Mesaba pilots). A and B scale of sorts. The Q400 rates dont look too hot either imo.

That you're getting a raise either way and they couldn't get management to agree to current Mesaba rates for Colgan Saab pilots and didn't think there was a chance the Mesaba guys would vote for it if they were taking a pay cut....... I'd say that's the statement there...

i def do not think split pay scales for saabs is a good idea, if its one contract, it should be one pay scale for the plane, no grandfathered crap.....that almost like an usair/aw type deal. not to mention the q400 pay doesn't even equal 50 seat pay....we can do better. those things aside it seems like a good deal otherwise.
