It doesn't matter, these 3 groups were not going to be able to come to an agreement on this.

It is going to be very insightful though when they release the journal of the entire proceedings.

I agree. Declaimer: the info I received was from about a month ago. So if new developments have occurred I stand corrected.

This union e-mail came out today. This was the exact text:

"SLI Progress [toc] On April 18th your MEC reached out to the CJC and PCL MECs to try and get the three merger committees together during the week of April 25th.

The goal was to attempt to reach a mutual agreement to the SLI process one more time. Unfortunately, the PCL merger committee did not respond. As a result, with only two of the three parties willing to engage, the meeting did not occur."

I guess everyone should have stayed at the table. It was PCL's standpoint that XJ and 9L were unwavering on DOH and relative.

Latest gem... XJ MEC apparently will deny AA more than one jumpseater???
Good thing that the companies will combine soon so that policy will not be effective on the jets.

Should be. AA's (D6L) policy has hurt a lot of our commuters.

It is fair to say that all three groups were unwavering on their basic stance. Had there been significant progress mediation would have continued.

Just let the process run its course, it is nearly done. If approximately 3 months were unable to yield nearly ANY common ground a few more meetings would have just stalled the process even more.

It's not the APA causing this, it's AMR Corp.

Well if I were CA I would not follow that union directive and even tell them exactly when I allowed more than one AA guy... Ridiculous.

The arbitrator has 30 days from April 15th to render his decision.

There is allowance for modest changes in schedule/time line as he feels is necessary.
