Pinnacle, Mesaba, Colgan TA

Well the negotiators were not supposed to release anything to anyone. Confidentiality agreements were the M.O. as far as I was informed from our MEC. I would hope it was the same across the board.
Can't say I'm surprised though because I heard some information on who proposed what directly from a Mesaba negotiator.

Higney, ask your merger committee what their final position was. Ask if they had Colgan below all Pinnacle pilots.
It's easy to say "it's all rumors" so ask your committee point blank what their final position was. It will all be out soon anyways so they might as well be open to the pilot group.
Heck, the arbitration was 100% on the record and transcripts were sent out to the committees.
If my committee wanted to staple another airline I would not be too wild about it as well so I do understand the disbelief.

To put a 2 year 9E pilot SENIOR to a 19 year 9L pilot.....that is a staple.
To put EVERY SINGLE 9E pilot above EVERY SINGLE 9L pilot.....that is a staple.
Sad.....very sad.

Every Pinnacle Pilot should be ashamed of their MEC.
When your committee proposes to put a 2 year 9E pilot SENIOR to a 19 year 9L pilot.....that is a staple.

There is no group talking "staple" unless you feel anything involving DOH is a "staplejob". In that case the definition needs clarification. Keep in mind we all currently dictate our respective seniority lists on DOH. An integration exposes many different factors that require more factors to be in consideration.
It's obvious that all 3 sides have differing opinions, hence the reason as to why the committees didn't find an amicable solution. That's why we have an arbitrator. It's in his hands and while all 3 groups can have convincing arguments, he makes the call. We can all bicker, but we cannot fault each group from protecting their own seniority. We all know the importance of seniority, but there is no gains in trying to rip each other apart. From what I can see on the outside, all 3 groups can be pleased with their MEC's actions towards sli. Withiut question- all 3 MEC's worked for their individual groups. Until we see bloch's award it's all simply rumors, hopes, and fears. You can let your blood pressure boil and bash the keys into expressed emotion OR you can take a chill pill and await the list. I firmly believe that no matter what the list looks like the only person who will be 100% pleased will be #1, everyone else will have an opinion on how it could be better.

Did you read what I wrote and you wrote or is it sarcasm?

Let me just say this. I have the info. To say "staple" is not accurate. To say that a 7 year 9E pilot was above a 2 year 9L pilot is more accurate.

All I know is, I'm much more proud of my (9L) negotiating committee for keeping a level head and acting like adults in all this. If I were a 9E pilot, I'd be worried that the guns blazing stapejob attitude of my negotiating committee might risk more than it rewards with Bloch. Yes each negotiating team has their pilot's best interests at heart, but arguing for absurd solutions is counterproductive. It shows a lack of unity, understanding and highlights the greed. I can scream and yell all day for a million dollars, but the absurdity of the claim deserves no rebuttal.
