Pinnacle, Mesaba, Colgan TA

Jayray, it was the PCL final arbitration proposal that had Colgan stapled to Pinnacle and then Mesaba integrated by placing MSA CAs with Pinnacle FOs and Mesaba FOs with Colgan CAs.
Mesaba just wanted straight DOH as their final position.
And yes, I agree with you that the Pinnacle committee did not score any points with Bloch with that final proposal.

Sounds like whoever told you that is blowing smoke your way...

Just to be clear, which method was XJ proposing? I'm trying to think about this deal as unemotionally and as impartial as possible and I can't come up with a scenario where a staple would be fair and equitable in any manner whatsoever. Any form of DOH or relative or a mix, yes you could make a case, but one of the pilot groups proposed a staple? I hope it wasn't the pilots representing me, if I was the arbitrator and someone proposed a staple I would probably end up stapling that group to the bottom (and I fully expect this guy to penalize the group proposing a staple). How could you keep a straight face in the negotiations proposing something like that?

Guys, each side has their proposals close to the vest. What is being spread is rumor that has no positive end result. When Bloch makes the award, we will all know everything we want. Until then we wait.

Can't say I'm surprised though because I heard some information on who proposed what directly from a Mesaba negotiator.

It's easy to say "it's all rumors" so ask your committee point blank what their final position was. It will all be out soon anyways so they might as well be open to the pilot group.
Heck, the arbitration was 100% on the record and transcripts were sent out to the committees.
If my committee wanted to staple another airline I would not be too wild about it as well so I do understand the disbelief.
