June will be interesting month at Republic

Thats only $500,000 an airplane compared to the $800,000 an airplane the airbusses lost. Hopefully they can figure out how to make money with those airplanes. I am pretty sure they wont be able to contract them out to delta or Unical.

Whattya know.... Two well respected airlines with (arguably) good management and a good product can't make it on their own. They then get bought by an outsourcing company that has no experience in running an airline, just in being contracted replacement lift. This is done to diversify away from their core business model. The company then randomly starts slapping things together, is losing money hand over fist doing it, has already destroyed one of the brands, and ends up transferring assets back to being contracted lift.
BB has no idea what hes doing and has gotten in over his head.

The remaining three 170's in the branded op will be going to the UAL CPA.

I still can't believe DALPA hasn't filed a grievance over the Republic flying.
RAH is actually competing with themselves on a few routes now (MCI-AUS for example).
I think BB may be faced with the choice to keep the Branded or FFD flying in the next 12 months.

If they were smart they wouldn't be paying a person by the hour to stay on a schedule! LOL

This all reminds me of XJT's branded excursion. It all sounded great until the company got desperate for cash, came running back to Continental, and finally got sold for pennies on the dollar to SkyWest. Granted there's no telling what will ultimately happen to Republic but I bet their major partners are licking their chops at all the money that's being blown on Frontier at the moment.
