And who would that be? Airways? JBLU? Have you actually talked to them? Look at your post history and check it's accuracy. Uber Troll

What did you make last year on your W2? We can check what you made on different equipment vs those CA's on the 190 since we're looking for facts and all.

Uh, Duck...I'd check your math and assumptions.

8 year CA at RAH (on the 170/190) is $85/hr. Are there any 190 bases? Or is it like the old MCO 135 Base where you only got override pay when you actually flew the larger plane?

8 yr FO at JBlu on the 190 is $90/hr AND they get 150% for everything over 78 hours, night flying override and have a higher per-diem.

So...

Using 82 hours as an average, the JetBlue FO makes about $7k more than the RAH CA, not including per diem, or night flying or 150% for junior manning, etc.

Let's just make it a statement of fact that the RAH contract has a long way to go. Very similar to the jump we needed to make here at AirTran. WE (AT) still aren't were we want to be. Sometimes, it's steps, not jumps.

I'll wait till I see a W2 from someone in that position. I have few JBLU jumpseaters out of CLE and their info doesn't make it look all roses. Someone feel free to post a number. Take into account longevity pay loss etc.

Hockey is full of it. Any searches of his past postings will show that. The real challenge is finding something he's said that's credible.

If you hold hopes of a job at one of the few remaining jobs with livable terms and conditions you would share the desire for a scope side-stepping, poverty wage level providing company that already destroyed one decent airline (Midwest) and now has another (Frontier) in its grips to suffer some setbacks on its quest to transform the North American aviation industry into $23/Hr pilot positions.

(Rant over.)

P.S FWIW not affiliated with Midwest, Republic nor Frontier.
If you know of someone hiring toss it my way. I want out of Republic.

It might be easier to admit when you are wrong.

Seriously?! Do some research. 3rd year DC-9 FO at Delta $91/hr vs. 10yr 170/190 Captain at RAH $90. The DC-9 is really the only comparable equipment so I'll stop there. I'm not trying to be a jerk and throw this in your face, but it is the reality of your contract. I used to work for RAH so I have no ill will towards your pilot group. I still have a lot of good friends there who just want out. Your post just struck me as incredibly ignorant.

By the way an 8th yr FO at Jet Blue makes the same on an hourly rate basis as your 10 year captain on the exact same equipment. Thats before you factor in their extras that you guys don't have. Hockey may be angry but he's certainly not wrong!

There are guys here at JB who(if you live in base) that are easily pulling in six figures their third year.

Don't forget also that a canceled flight at Republic results in loss of pay. I too used to work there and still have a lot of friends there and it seems rare to go one month without losing a bunch of pay. They also work you into the ground so you end the month completely exhausted and a small paycheck as your reward.

Please pardon the Republic apologists on this forum. Embarrassing. . . This place is doing what your small equipment used to do with a fraction of the pay, benefits, and work rules. Like many regional pows, I can't wait to get out. Oh wait, what's this I hear about age 70?
