Mesaba's dispute?

The "8 month" issue is guys that were beingput through class around 9/11 and were sent home (furloughed) prior to checkride. Once they were called back and actually finished their checkrides it had been "up to" 8 months. LOA 2.V applies and it's no different than Mesaba guys who started class, 10 promised -900's were removed and they were furloughed. Some are using details without all the facts.
Yes, I am a 9E guy and don't appreciate the knocks toward our group. If you are on the other side of the fence it's not personal. This is business and a fight for agreed upon parity. Keep in mind the 9E guys still did not get longevity adjustments that XJ and CJC still have. We get our raises and increased benefits "up to" 8 months later. Typically 6-8 weeks behind our "brothers".

Years ago a class of new hires began training, at the end of training they were furloughed. Under old pinnacle policy they were never hired until they were recalled and finished training 8 months later. Under the new policy they were hired 8 months earlier. It's legit. Don't worry, there are only about 5 guys left from that class.

There are some pilots where an 8 month potential could exist between class date and hire date. I just flew with a CA who was hired in a Oct but then sim checkride was in Feb, due to training resource shortages, Thanksgiving break, winter break, re-adjustment of sim schedule, etc. This guy has a 4 month differential between class and sim date.
So yes, it is a possibility.

Did the pinnacle pilots start getting paid on the first day of class or not until the checkride was complete? ALPA merger policy says DOH is when a pilot first shows up on the company payroll and starts operational training. I think this is what the dispute is over.
