IBT 357 (futile) Strike Vote at RAH
#121
The only thing solidly profitable in branded service is the 320. JetBlue figured it out too, and is converting their fleet plan to increase 321s and reduce 190s. This isn't a negotiating strategy. This is a dead slow economy coupled with a business space (FFD) that suddenly became crowded.

Zero???? I was just sitting in a 50 seater today. Would you like to venture a guess as to what the paint scheme was? Wait for it....... wait for it...... FRONTIER. There are about 6 50 seaters flying for Frontier.
Please come to the table with viable facts, then, and only then will you be taken seriously.

I don't care if you take me seriously. That isn't the issue. Facts are facts.

I guess you've been out of the loop. Take a gander at BB's 9-9-10 letter. A few of the 145s will go to temporary charter service, but the small RJs are going away. I thought they were already gone. Foreshadowing I guess.

In reference to all of the above, it's said FAPA agreed to binding arbitration. Didn't the new and improved EXCO chair agree to something similar regarding a check ride? In the event of a strike vote by local 357 followed by an actual strike, many FAPA members are unwilling members of local 357 at best. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for cooperation.

Did leadership at Republic make some sort of statement yesterday? About anything, publicly?
I ask only because the phrase "What Republic said yesterday" was mentioned a couple times during the SkyWest Inc. financial call this morning.
It was largely in reference to labor pool variability and how that is impacted by mainline partners changing capacity seasonally.

Tiller, we'll be separate again soon and you can go envy the tiller of somebody else. In the mean time I'll keep criticizing the actions of 357 leadership as I please. You shouldn't expect me or the other F9 pilots to be happy about the situation we find ourselves in with respect to the botched seniority list integration.
I'm not trolling for your commentary, simply calling it as I see it.
