Cruz is the perfect example of why you want to do everything possible to avoid pink slips. I have seen people take their private, ir, comm, me, before they were ready but wanted to rush it, but have never failed a ride, then they fail. They later take a different ride they are ready for and just have a bad ride and fail that. Suddenly two pink slips and your just starting your career. This does come back later, this guy has applied everywhere and the only two places that have called him are lakes and gulfstream. I think he has 3 pink slips.
Thats like being a dentist and getting a call from the welfare clinic and a funeral home.

You previously mentioned your times are 500/50. Why not instruct to get your hours up, then try and get on with a "better regional?" While instructing, you could make valuable connections, leading to job interviews.

The man you spoke with also lied to you. Never was I told there was a $2250 up front cost to be collected in addition to the $300 a month docked from your pay. I told them I'm not going to pay it. They lead me out to discuss it then brought me back in to say they will work on that. I'm off to the sim now.

depends, let eagle or rah or lakes or any regional for that matter go through some serious shrinking pains, and throw 500 guys on the street, esp one with a fl hub, and I bet they fill all those capt seats fast, esp at ATP mins without an ATP! Eagle FOs based in MIA would fill those left seats fast.
