Gulfstream Int Airlines

I'm assuming its the delay of your first paycheck. At my current airline took a month to get my first paycheck. (paid 2 weeks behind).
Besides the flight case, they recommend a crew bag as well for trips? I dont know how many overnights up north you usually look forward to (per diem $$).
For those of you who have the flight case with the wheels, any issue attaching it to your crew bag? Dont know how well those adjust to overheard bins while commuting, since the age of no more free check bags bins are golden real estate on mainline commutes.

I have a travel pro that was handed down that has the attachement point for a hook for my flight case.

You mean new beginning as of a few weeks ago, because the new owners had a pay to fly program as late as this month! Quit the BS, lipstick on a pig, that s al!!!

Gulfstream is growing, receiving more T-props, at the same time Eagle is shrinking and parking T-props. Gulfstream is hiring and Eagle is furloughing. Anyone hired at Eagle within the last year might find themselves in the unemployment line soon. Gulfstream Pilots are looking at a 1-2 year upgrade.

Does Silver require you to carry your own charts/manuals on the line? Or is there a cockpit set...I guess if you had to carry your own, there wouldnt be many, considering each base only flies to 5/6 airports, plus alternates. That probably all fits into a single 1 or 2 inch Jepp binder, no? I've got one of the Brightline pilot flight bags, it has a space for my headset and pubs (not much). Trying to find out if I need to invest in a chart case or not...

QUICK upgrades, if you have 1500 hrs. coming here, you can bid Captain coming in. (will have to have 100 hrs in Company aircraft) This company has chaNged for the better. If you don't like this company, don't apply.
Expansion is going to be HUGE. We have a few majors looking at us for work (can't say who).
Saabs coming online, BEECH's retiring.
Those who got hired congrats - Be ready to study and get yourself mentally prepared - the standards are high and this is NO CAKE WALK. Just because you showed up doesn't mean they are going to hold your hand through this. BE READY!! WASH OUTS DO HAPPEN.
We haven't lost anyone yet, and while they will do everything to help ensure your success, if you don't do your part, well, sad ending.
Well, back to studying for me, got an oral and sims coming up.

Two questions to anyone out there at GIA.
1) Does anyone know if there has been any interviews over the past few weeks? Like I said above, I was told that SF34 flight attendant interviews were taking up a large part of the past few weeks at GIA.
2) What is a ball park percentage of interview to offer letter?
Thanks!

Most, if not all are going to KBIL. However, that won't last long. New system wide bid to come out soon. While Florida is senior, a lot of attrition is going on has we have a lot going to the majors, and just not the state side ones. If you want a particular base, you'll have to bid for it. I'm low time and we have a guy and gal in class with 250tt.
Has far as interviews of pilots, I really don't hang out at HQ but it's been light. I do know we are running both a F.A. and pilot class come January( 2 at a time) and each month thereafter.
Yes, you must have a different attitude (a good one) if you want to make it here. The old do it or else-the bad a$$ Captain, the macho crap- it's gone - So , yes they are trying to change it for the better.
One more thing, Flight Ops pay is monthly so make sure you have provisioned yourself accordingly. Of course hotel room and breakfast is free s/o and they put us across the street from a outdoor shopping mall which has everything cept a Publix, (my new favorite grocery store) but there is one across the street from the training center. Man there deli is good!
Again, congrats to those that got on, bring your game face and mind, because you WILL NEED IT.
Has far as interview to offer I can't say, but upon completion of the sim you should have a pretty good idea if you were selected or not. Some were not, like those who couldn't hold altitude, heading, brief the approach, couldn't hold or get into one, just because you show up for the interview please do not think the job is yours. remember the interview is part of an overall assement of your skills. Come ready for the interview, test and sim. There are gouges out there.
If selected please do not waste anyones's time by doing a drug test and you know you are going to **** positive. Once in ground school I can't emphasis enough- YOU MUST STUDY!!! DO NOT TAKE THE INDOC GEN SYS TEST KNOWLEDGE TEST LIGHTLY. I can't emphasis this enough.
Well the first half of our group has already left for the sims in Orlando, rest of us are getting ready to go. 2 weeks and were done. Man, the pressure is on!
Hope you all do well and see you on the line.
Take Care.
