Unless you think seniority means a guy 2 years your junior who took the job at a bottom-feeder prop outfit should be able to take your seat and kick you to the street while getting a pay raise in the process.
Ya, because Pinnacle is the cream of the crop.

Get over yourself.

Damn right, esp when his part of the company is what is being SHUTDOWN and bankrupted the place.

I don't think things are going to be as good as you think. They already said staffing will be re-evaluated - meaning that very few if anyone will be getting 16-18 days off. More than likely you'll be sitting reserve on days you would currently have off, I wouldn't be surprised to see 11 days off the norm for 90% of the company. Vacation will most certainly taken away, soft pay provisions will be taken away and your pay will most definitely be cut. If you are a CA now I'd expect your pay to drop by at least 50%. How is this scenario a skyrocket in QOL? All that loss income is huge when you turn 60 and realize you have 10 more years of work - due mainly to the 5 extra years you sat right seat at 9E. Even if you have to work an extra year in your 60's to make up for the loss of income I'm not seeing how this is a skyrocket in QOL. I'd say it is quite the opposite.

Ohhhh Saabs, I'm guessing this is your 1st CH11 and furlough scenario... Take it from me (been through 2 now) your QOL and pay is about to go down the drain... Also, 2000 turbine PIC is pretty much the norm, heck I have that.

Saabs, you're still assuming the company will furlough jet FO's and spend $25k while in Ch11 to make you CRJ qualified. Colgan guys are dreaming if you think this will happen, Menke's comment about respecting seniority is only posturing... if he told all the 9L people they were losing their jobs in 6 months, there would be a mass exodus.

Go look at the 1113 for Eagle pilots, they will come to you guys with the same thing.

This is what you HAVE TO BE READY TO HAVE OFFERED TO YOU!!!

This is what they are going to offer you for example-
1. 70 hour a month guarantee
2. No line guarantee or pay protection
3.Reserve days mixed into any hard line under 70 hours at a value of 4 hours per day to make the line over 70 hours.
4. Canceled training/trip/IOE displacement etc all will mean your on RSV.
5. 25% loss of per diem and no increase for 5 years.
6. Captains will take a $5/hour loss and cap at 15 years.
7.Loss of 1/2 your paid vacation.
8.PBS (if you dont have it yet)
9. No using vacation days to get off work outside your vacation.
10. Decrease in 401k matching.

Get ready because it is coming.

This is from another thread, but from my experience it looks to be right on...
