there's a teleconference tomorrow. i'll let you guys know what's discussed. rumored growth will def be a topic.

Here it is in a nutshell;

1. Gained more flying, but have to operate at a loss like the rest of our flying.

2. Need to initiate pay cuts since we continue to take flying at a loss we can`t afford the already cheap pay scale we have in place.

3. You need to go find your own healthcare

4. We have increased your days off per month from 8 to 8.5

5. We will be handing out a Christmas bonus this year, but it has to be shared between each crew. We have agreed on a bag of skittles. The flight attendants get to dictate how many skittles everyone gets. This is not optional!!!

6. All those listening in on this tele-conference will be charged a conference call fee, which will be taken out of your paycheck.

Any questions can be put in the suggestion box in your respective domicile and will be laughed at during the next management meeting.

How clever of you. Guys like you need a forum like this to hide behind. The chip on your shoulder is not attractive and your jealousy can not be hidden.

I have a friend at GJ, he's looking into Cobra, is it true that there's no medical and dental or it's worse than Cobra? if so, that's pathetic.

Apparently, you don't know what "COBRA" is. It is not a specific health plan (standing for Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act), but rather a program to allow for you to continue your health benefits from your employer when you become unemployed or otherwise lose your job. And you can only remain on your health plan via COBRA for a specified number of months. You are responisble for paying the entire cost of the premium though, so your employer does not subsidize it. There have been some modifications to the program recently to help those unemployed, but that is it in a nutshell.

How can you call something "pathetic" when you don't even know what you are comparing it to?

I get a line for October, don't post on APC much, and not a damn thing has changed.

Feels good to be back.

Apparently you didn't read what I said. I'll help you. I said, "is it true that there's no medical and dental or it's worse than Cobra?" As in the amount you pay. He was looking into Cobra when he left his last airline before starting at GJ, since there's a gap from the time he left and a time he can qualify for insurance at GJ. He would have to pay about $1,000/month. If He's paying that kind of cost for insurance at GJ, it's pathetic. Yes, I know it varies from OAP to HRA and the amount from the last employer, but having to pay $500/month+ for medical is horrible.
