Airline compensation is based on the escalator principle...if the company can selectively bribe anybody at any position on the escalator, the whole things falls apart. How would you feel if you were nearing upgrade and the company paid mordida to every pilot except those plus or minus two years from upgrade (knowing that you'll stick around to get your 1000)?
Rickair, summoned up very well, it is extremely sort of a new hire to think this is a good deal. Unless of course that pilot has only one year left in aviation.

How about five grand for me to stick around? Didn't the same thing happen at republic only to be reversed because of the same already discussed?

Republic attempted to raise starting pay to $31/hr and then instead went with the 5K bonus.

So the company is bankrupt, but can afford $2 million in signing bonuses on top of training 400 pilots? Mmmmmmmmk.
