I think he did explain. He works for an airline that controls its flying and gets paid more to do it.

But don't you see? The regional culture has tricked people into living life for the sole purpose of working. You work to live, regional employees live to work. This is one big difference between mainline people and regional people. Culture....

Isn't regional career suppose to be a stepping stone? Demise of regional world means the return of regional airline to its roots. You are right, regional life as a pilot is not the way to live. We deserve way more then we receive. Unfortunately, this only hurts those that have decided to make a career as a regional pilot. Alas, a great number falls among the masses.

Agreed. It's sad. My goal is time with my family & friends.

Why are we comparing Delta to regionals? Delta is the second largest airline in the world. It's the largest fully integrated airline. Obviously it's a lot better than the regionals.

Actually, considering that most of us are Comair refugees, I can assure you no one wants to see you Comaired. Best of luck guys.

Fact......DALs contract reduced the overall number of DCI aircraft
Fact......that means less jobs at those carriers
Fact......It probably means less carriers
Fact......Other mainline carriers when they sign their contracts in the future will also reduce overall regional aircraft
Reality..... on this board for YEARS we have asked for carriers to take back scope and while they may have increased the number of "large" RJs overall the number of aircraft and seats offered at regionals is being reduced and will continue to reduce for some time.....Is not this what "pilots" have been asking for for years?
Reality..... If you are in the bottom half of any regional seniority list start looking.... start networking... there will be fewer jobs at regionals in the near future and just how many at other carriers is yet to be determined...a rocky ride for sure.
