According to the latest seniority list of Jan 15, 152 hired in 2013 that are still here.

No one will admit it but I'm sure it'll pass. I've yet to find a guy personally who admits to voting yes for the BK TA.

Is there any kind of pay raise associated with this? A freeze for 10 years at a 2% inflation equals a 20% pay cut.

No. Longevity increases up to 12/4 years for CA/FO would continue until 1/1/15 or the first 175 delivery, whichever would come first. After that, there would be no increases at all until 1/1/18. After that, there would be 1% increases unless a pilot declines to flow when their turn comes up.

This is absolutely a pay cut in real terms. Assuming a 3% inflation rate, a first officer earning ~$40/hour in 2013 would have to make ~$52/hour in 2024 (at the end of the 10 year contract period) in order to maintain their purchasing power in real terms. With this pay freeze, the same FO would be making the equivalent of ~$30/hour in 2024 in today's dollars. For captains making $88/hour at the 12 year cap, the pay would have to be ~$118 in 2024. Instead, the purchasing power would be the equivalent of ~$65/hour today. This equates to a ~25% pay cut over 10 years.

I heard 10k Sign on bonus and 1,500 to sign yes. This true?

If the AIP is voted in, every pilot on property will receive a $1500 bonus. I suppose it goes without saying that taxes and the overall "cost" of the rest of the AIP would more than negate this figure.

The last word I heard about the signing bonus was that it was still $5000, but that may have changed.

I don't think people really grasp how long 10 year agreement terms are and how important it is. It's just a number that people actually don't think about. A 10 year agreement is far too long. So many things can change in that amount of time. And like it has been said, inflation over a 10 year period means pay cuts. Huge pay cuts. The 10 year agreement by itself should be a no vote. Endeavor pilots voted in this length of a contract because they were in BK. But even they should have thought about the fact that if a contract was imposed on them, negotiations would have started immediately after they left BK on a new contract. Now they're stuck with the garbage for 10 years.

They're going to pay hundreds of senior captains thousands more than the competition at top 18-year scale the duration of your careers with 100% 401(k) match ?

You'll be grandfathered alright, right up until they get this carrier shrunk to the point of merging it with a cheaper carrier and their contract. I can't believe how naive some of you are who should know better. Doing that doesn't help them one-bit attracting more pilots.

You got 2-3 years at most before the guillotine blade makes contact.

I wonder how many of the hundreds of the clueless shmucks who think Parker's giving them a free pass for their careers will be joining you ?

There's going to be a lot of crying to the heavens in the next couple of years.
