So in order to add 40 CRJ-900 aircraft, 111 50 seaters must be removed. There are currently 307 50 seat aircraft operating.

Ok, so are you implying that other 50 seat operators will be reduced instead? Or are you implying that seats can be removed and will not count as 50 seaters? If its the latter, that won't work. A 50 seater is defined as an aircraft certified for 50 or less seats and a certificated MGTOW of up to 65,000 LBS

first and last sentences are correct, but let's be realistic about something....the only reason we got the joint contract so fast was because 1. 9e had already been through 6 years of negotiations, 2. The company needed the combined list, and 3. they knew it would be null and void within a year. Not because XJ was a dream team.

Finally, the light comes on for a couple of you. I was there for the mesaba bankruptcy, and when it's all said and done, in hindsight it's easy to connect the dots. This plan was in the making when Delta sold Pinnacle Mesaba

Current and former "original Pinnacle" guys, come on!! The only reason this airline is becoming a decent one (minus the BK), is because we have legacy Mesaba ALPA guys and legacy Mesaba management.
We got Aerodata, we are working on fixing our terrible manuals to be like Mesaba's, and we are hopefully ditching ridiculous things like LIDO charts and the PM adjusting the altitude select with A/P engaged.

Pay question...
Two pilots, X and Y, are both from the same original company (so no Bloch issues). X is a Q CA and one senior to Y who is a 200 CA. X bid for CA first, but is being downgraded to an FO slot. Since secondary awards are NOT occurring, Y will not be downgraded (listed on the award as "Secondary Held"). What would X get paid? His current pay, 200 CA pay (that is pay equal to the Y's pay), or FO pay?
My quick look at the award suggests this scenario applies to several folks.
