I don't think it even matters so much what we're asking for at this point. The company is issuing "Last best final offers", while the IBT is still willing to negotiate and come to the middle. RAH is refusing to budge, while at least we still have wiggle room. Despite this, we are the ones getting punished (parked/iced).

IBT's rules require that a "last, best, final" go to the membership. That's not overruling...that's the rule.

Just curious.

Exactly. This rule would work fine when bargaining under the NLRA, but it makes zero sense under the RLA. More proof that the trucker's union needs to get out of the business of representing pilots.

Ok gents I'm a new hire leaving the military what kind of s&$?!%# storm am I stepping into? I won't start training until June or July which means I get to watch from the sidelines. I do have some questions; What happens if you vote no, you voted to strike once did you strike? If you don't strike and mediator isn't scheduling any more meetings what happens next? I understand I join the union 90 days into the job and am on probation for a year so I guess I'm....
I'm new to the union stuff and being in the military for a long time I'm used to getting the job done no matter what the cost so this is all new. Looking forward to the responses. Hey seattlepilot I'm in Eburg good to know there's others from the NW on here.

Mojito,
Then i recommend you read this. Make sure your coworkers read it too.
There are so many dangerous points of this lbfo that is unbelivable.
To name few :
...
- no pay rates for c300 and airbus airplanes.
The last one hurts you guys the most. Why? The way rah management will handle this its the same way they will handle q400 pay. Since we dont have rates on this equipment , they said they were going to pay us 145 rates, despite the fact that this is a 70 seater. Who is to say they are not going ro come back and say " we want republic to operate c300s with 170 rates.
This is like a chess game, you gotta think about the 3rd next move of your opponent.
Please leave all the emotions behind, please read this. If you have any members thar are in goos standing with ibt (i know we have few), please advise them to vote no on this.
Thanks.
Mojito,
First, as a Frontier pilot I wish you nothing but the best in negotiations. You certainly deserve better and I hope you get it.
I would like you to clarify the "payrates for the C300 and Airbus" issue. So the NC is upset because you have not established Airbus (and C300) payrates in your contract? Frontier's contract already has Airbus payrates. Are you trying to get these for your native RAH pilots, or are you negotiating on behalf of the Frontier pilots? You do realize we have a different contract? How much negotiating capital has been spent on this issue?

No, we are not negotiating Airbus rates. They are trying to solidify language for when we get new aircraft, such as Q's and C-Series so that the company will be forced to negotiate a payrate in a timely manner.

Weasel Boy,
That is certainly fair enough. Mojito's statement seemed to imply that there was an attempt to get both C300 and Airbus rates in your contract.

You're going to have to just learn to deal with it.
