Thank you for your reasonable post.
What the NC was asking for no longer matters. This LBFO is a concessionary contract in almost every way other than FO pay. Current book is better than this rag. You saying we should accept it shows you for the idiot you are.

I AM a "mainline" (within RAH) Airbus pilot and have NO desire to be associated with the incredibly immature, insensitive and ignorant comments made by those such as Mojito.

I am no fan of the IBT ("All available means"), IBT 357, the head of the Airline Division, the NC or the President of 357, but I do respect the vast majority of the line pilots of RAH and empathize with their predicament.

This is not a time for gloating or flaming, they are facing serious issues. Who is at fault at this point is mostly irrelevant, there is no need to pile on by mocking their situation.

Mojito and company, Karma's a a B***h dude, hope you don't find yourself in the exact same situation at some point in your career, it may happen sooner than you think.

And, there ain't no way this is going to pass. I sincerely hope the vote is 100% opposed.

Even after the "proposal" is rejected, the RAH pilots have a long road ahead of them. As I mentioned, I am no fan of CM, but I agree - the NMB (there is no NLRB in aviation) - is either corrupt, insane, lazy or very pro-management. Sorry, I can't help it, they're like Eischen.

It is interesting that the IBT's selling point is that it's a "Bottom up" organization vs ALPA (also not a fan of them), which is supposed to be a "Top down" organization.

A nice yurt, a goat herding job and a MMJ garden in the Colorado mountains sounds pretty good right now, wherever you are in this messed up industry.

Those that have held a Union leadership position are automatically qualified to herd goats, goats (or cats or any non-human animal) are more logical and caring than a pilot group. At least when an old goat dies, the rest of the goats don't dive for their seniority list to see, "How does this affect ME."

They also don't say "brilliant" things like, "Lets just grow more grass" = "Why don't we raise the ticket price" like they are the first person to think of that and it would solve everything.

Lighten up on our fellow pilots at RAH and let them work through this as best they can.

Good luck guys and gals.

Mojito,
Then i recommend you read this. Make sure your coworkers read it too.
There are so many dangerous points of this lbfo that is unbelivable.

To name few :
- no cancellation pay until year 4 .
- no min guarantee if you are on reserve
- very bad trip rig
- pilots being responsible of their own cell phone coverage.
- pilots being required to own a computer (finally they figured out how to afford those efbs)
- no pay rates for c300 and airbus airplanes.

The last one hurts you guys the most. Why? The way rah management will handle this its the same way they will handle q400 pay. Since we dont have rates on this equipment , they said they were going to pay us 145 rates, despite the fact that this is a 70 seater. Who is to say they are not going ro come back and say " we want republic to operate c300s with 170 rates.

This is like a chess game, you gotta think about the 3rd next move of your opponent.

Please leave all the emotions behind, please read this. If you have any members thar are in goos standing with ibt (i know we have few), please advise them to vote no on this.

Thanks.

I agree this offer is a complete joke. I'm glad that this management team's aggressive penny-pinching attitude prevailed and resulted in this offer being forced to a vote. At least now, we can crush this thing outright and go back to not making progress under the ineptitude that is Larry Gibbons, Patricia Sims, or whoever they appointed to the case this month.

This has NO chance of passing. It introduces two new types of displacements, basically puts all pilots on RSV with means of contact falling on ALL pilots to promptly return calls. Requires RSV members to self-notify of trips on days off, and removes line guarantee.

This offer will fail ~90% "No". In addition, this offer introduces 4 LOAs modifying CBA sections not included in section 6 mediation.

I think, this time the company has overreached and will find that the pilots at this company are unified in our struggle against the worst QoL and CBA in the industry. For the record, Cape Air has a better CBA in almost all respects.

What did your NC ask for? Lots of rumors running around...putting some facts out might help shut them down. Like it or not, the fact that the NMB parked you guys sure sends a message in itself that something was out of line.

ATc. Short of the obvious trip and duty rig, cancellation pay, and livable wage, the unions been pretty mum. The frontier guys started this rumor saying we wanted jet pay

The NC asked for some pretty standard industry things:

-Trip rig
-Duty rig
-Industry standard pay for the # of seats flown
-Better rsv rules
-Cancellation pay
-100% DH pay
-Premium pay

The pay rates (especially for FO's) were a great improvement, but there was no duty rig to help with the frequent 3+ hour sits that are scheduled regularly and the trip rig is a joke considering the lack of a duty rig. Reserve's QOL would go down even more (as if it wasn't bad enough already) and there's no cancellation pay for the first 4 years which is ridiculous. I'm sure the company laughed knowing that this would go to the pilots for a vote hoping the all the FO's would see the increased pay and vote yes purely on that. Hopefully everyone pays attention to the other items and realizes that the whole thing is an insult to the pilot group and it gets voted down unanimously.

Of course, both the IBT and RAH have put out emails stating each side is telling lies about the LBF offer, so knowing the true language of the offer is impossible (the offer might be somewhere the pilots can view it and I just don't know where it is). The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle but either way it's unacceptable.
