Go for the interview and find out for yourself. Don't listen to the handful of complainers on message boards. Go and check it out and ask the recruiters the tough questions.

Don't listen to the recruiters. They told me I'd upgrade in 3 years, almost 3 years later and I'm still on reserve. Every airline I've interviewed at the recruiters spill nothing but BS about how new planes are just around the corner and things will be better than ever. None of them have been right.

Waaaait aaaaa minute.. Aren't we supposed to get 170 yes thats 170 airframes- E175's with this new proposal provided we vote yes? If that happens, upgrades will drop to 2-3 yrs and flow thru will move faster.

But vote NO, and???? well who knows……

Watch...it'll be 170 airframes total for the entire airline. No upgrades, stagnation will persist. I have no hope for this place.

There won't be as much hiring if you're stuck in a 10+year contract. You'll already be where they need you. And where they need you to stay, for $.60 on the dollar.

Supply and demand will dictate pilot wages no matter if you sign a 10 year or a 100 year agreement. Provided management wants to keep a company operating (not sure they do in our case) they need pilots to fill the seats. If they can't find pilots compensation must increase.

If this logic holds true since after all we know they can't fill classes then why are they offering you all concessions and guy like RJpilot voting yes?

I don't presume to know what management is thinking. My guess is that they think the carrot of a flow and new airplanes will attract new hires even at the proposed pay and benefits.

I believe economics will ultimately dictate our contracts, we're running towards the end of the economic misfortune our country and companies saw in the 2000s, this coupled with the impending regional pilot shortage will cause either wages/benefits to increase or flow type programs to attract new hires.

This is just my theory, I'm not a smart guy or an economist. I have about as worthless a degree as you can get outside of something aviation related. So I could be completely wrong.
