That's true. But it would give the system time to resolve the issues.

Currently, as I understand it, financial aid is only available for the academic portion of flight training, not the flying lessons. The GI bill pays for it all.

They had 5 years when mandatory retirement went from 60 to 65. Not one airline lifted a finger.

Banks aren't stupid, they see the risk in flight training an individual is to great.

That's why the govt. would back the loans. But also, look at the amt. of sub-prime loans given during the housing boom and now in autos. The banks believe they will be bailed out, and since they own the politicians, they will.
