My guess is they couldn't get enough profit out of the deal. Haven't heard from the union yet as to whether they were asked for anything to make the deal work, but I never voted on anything so this was managements f-up.

What a letdown. I used to stay positive about this company...

Attrition is gonna be much higher now. This place could realistically close in 365 days.

I'm afraid so, the uneasiness of the future will cause many to leave that may have otherwise hung around. I hope I'm wrong and something positive happens in the future for AWAC, but for now I'm left with a really ill feeling.

Even though the planes were coming form us I am sorry to hear this. Having planes ripped away from sucks and kills morale. I hope for the best for all at Air Wisconsin and the company. It is my home town airline and was always my number 1 regional until they lost the united flying. I hope things turn around for you guys. Maybe you guys can grab some of PSA's planes

This is truly disappointing. I, like some other 9Eers, were actually happy to hear AWAC was getting some of our 200 flying. Wish all you folks at AWAC good luck and best wishes in light of this news.

Yikes! I wonder if this is related to how Delta plans to use the aircraft. I can recall recent financial results at Skywest where they complained of costs associated with the wild swings in utilization for the CRJ200 fleet; losing money because Mama Delta has some very low utilization at times.

Absolutely idiotic. I remember when I read the first e-mail, announcing this whole thing, it stated that things still had to be "agreed upon" and that there were issues to "come to agreement on". ***. Don't put this BS out there to the company when its not 100% and the ink has dried. Seriously.

If I had to guess what happened, I bet its the fact that we we had ZERO chance in being fully ready to take on 5 planes in less than 60 days. It wasn't just getting the pilots upgraded and to speed, but we were going to have a vast amount of new FOM, FCM, Op Specs. All kinds of crap. I think whoever up in ATW thought they could really be ready for this has brain damage.

We had no chance in hell. Now if this were announced for Mach/April its a different story. It will be interesting to see what happens with them now. The entire reason 9E was giving them away is because they can't staff them. If it really is/was a preparation issue maybe something can be worked out for 6+ months from now. Who knows. Just complete rookie move to announce this.
