Yes, some may be "buying" it, but you do realize that others are actually here to SELL it, right ?

The LAST person I'd want piloting my family - a disinterested, rudderless slacker out for his own interests. No passion, no attachment, no foundation.

You're doing a disservice both to us and yourself and your talents lie in management where those qualities are embraced.....or actually "embraered".

They are part of Jerry's kids group.

80-90% of Envoy pilots don't surf these or other forums and 70% voted no. Clearly, it's not a group of "vocal hard-liners" driving the bus on this, although many of the weak along with management and certain,.....um, shall we say "paid organizations" want to intensify that false façade.

I wish I could get a management job, who wouldn't? Weekends and holidays off, more money, better benefits. I honestly can't find a downside.

Perhaps you can't because you're fat and diabetic ?

It's been said by someone supposedly worldly here that employers don't hire those who have issues like that. I mean really.........it's a job you admit really wanting and so if you can't get in the front door of a company in that capacity, it must mean you're inferior in some way, right ?

Others are doing it.

That would mean if you stayed at Envoy and for whatever reason, didn't get the "golden handshake" through the front door at a legacy, you'd have to join the rest of us incompetent, unemployable, skeleton-ridden sickly slobs who flowed to AA before you, eh ?

Who wants to be part of a mechanism that's associated with being such an obvious loser and so what value should be placed on such at Envoy by the MEC ?

I agree, I wasn't able to get hired by a legacy and therefore I am inferior to those who were hired. A lot of Americans have forgotten that there are winners and losers in life, I lost. The flow is a nice mechanism for those of us who are unable to get employed through the front door at a legacy because it gives us a safety net. I chose to leave the industry as I don't want to wait a decade to get to a legacy, those who are staying in the industry would be better off having that safety net though.

Nevets a contract does not make you immune to economics. Unions harm companies and workers by holding on to that belief. If a company is going to have to pay more for health coverage they will pass that cost to the employees or the customers. In the airline industry ticket prices are quite rigid, most fare increases do not stick, therefore that cost will hit the employees one way or another. I am willing to bet on the free market and I expect that health care prices on the exchanges will decrease as insurance providers compete for subscribers. Why not give the company something that you can mitigate in other ways and gain something in the trade off?

Good luck with your online crusades guys, I hope it works out the way you want it to.

All you clowns bickering back and forth about nonsense need to develop a more productive hobby. Have a family? Spend more time with them. Go out and socialize. Get a life.

I can't help but conclude that with that outlook on life, you'll remain a "loser" regardless of what occurs in it. In all sincerity, how could anyone take your advice or validate your perceptions with that outlook ?

There's more to life then being a pilot for a legacy airline. If that is anyone's only litmus as to success, I think they're in pretty bad shape.
