Everyone I've talked to in person has said no. Some may be blowing smoke and in reality will end up voting yes. I just don't see the benefit of voting this TA in personally, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and what works best for them.

Where in the world do you get these numbers?? The cost of our share is going up 2% of what the entire plan cost, not just 2% of what you pay. For my family plan it will cost me about $55 more per month. And that's just for right now. You know d*mn well that the cost will go up each and every year.

The only people I've talked to in person yet that are yes voters are a few senior FO's that think this will make their life better as RSV Captains in the near future. Like others said, maybe there is a lot of smoke being blown here, but the overwhelming majority I've spoken with think this thing is a total turd and, frankly, an insult to this pilot group.

Completely wrong. The pilot share is going from 25 to 27%. The pilots don't know how much, if any, the total plan cost is changing for the Company bid that doesn't change the pilots still pay 27%.

Correct. Maybe my words didn't come across as I intended. Our share goes from 25 to 27%. My point was that the 27% that we pay comes from the total cost of the plan. The other poster was just adding 2% to what he pays now. That isn't how it works.

The cost of healthcare grew 3-4% every year for the last few years. So, you'll likely be paying 6% more than you were last year.

That's a safe bet. Where is my increase in pay to offset this?? The awesome per diem increase?? Simple fact is that I will be paying more for health care under this TA, but my actual pay will not increase one cent from what it is under the current CBA.

Fair point. My overall point, though, was there's not really a mechanism to force the company to prove the increase in their costs, the national rise in costs notwithstanding.

True but at a fixed percentage payment (25% under current cba) we eat that increase just as the company does. One thing that gets glossed over a bit is an increase from 25% to 27% is not a 2% increase. It is in fact an 8% increase of cost over what you are currently paying. Personally, adding 8% to what i currently drop per month on health insurance is going to make it a no for me.
