I'm losing faith in our union. Kinda makes me mad that they are trying to push this down our throat and then talking to us like we're children asking "have we looked at the whole forest". What a joke. It's a lie when they say no concessions were taken and Im not a fan of being lied to.

If it is voted down, and I believe it will be, the union guys need to step down. They should have never let it get to this point if they really represented our interest.

My hopes were so high when they announced the mec voted unanimously to send this to vote. And then when I read the bullet points, I had to figure I was missing something. Increased health insurance, still below average per diem, sick time, and min day. Still lousy reserve rules. Etc etc etc. Still my favorite part is that they included language to include the union scheduling committee to be more involved in the scheduling process. Let's be honest, our schedules are not bad at all but we negotiated to send three union reps up to Appleton to sit there and watch SS hit the submit button on the pairing optimizer. Meanwhile, well be paying them flight loss pay while nothing is accomplished. Yes as a whole our contract is well above average but five years to negotiate for a few small cruyear And to make matters worse, as mentioned here, the propaganda department is full throttle trying to sell us this year

I felt the same way. Eagerly read the bullet points and half way through it said this is garbage.

How many steak and lobster dinners were wasted on this thing? What a waste of time.

Agreed. Who's willing to step up in their place?

what makes anybody believe they could do better. I get that this is a crap deal but the way some of you are talkin if you were on the negotiation board nothing would have been done. how would you have gotten a company that is nortorius for getting what they want without giving up anything to bring about a TA.

You tell them no. Then you walk away. It's been 5 years, what's a little more time?

Can't wait to see how that idea turns out. Actually I think many know how it plays out.

I know being a yes man is easy for someone like yourself, but some of us actually have standards.
