The paragraph that had a yearly headset accrual of $50.00 per year up to $300 was deleted.

My thoughts - while it sucks it's gone, it was kinda pointless to begin with. I've been here 2 years. I couldn't use it for another 4. *** knows if I'll be here by then. I don't know of many guys that used it and $300 is not buying you a legit nice headset to begin with.
I know everyone is ****ed about the insurance, but 2% is very minimal. As a single guy my PPO plan will increase literally $1.80 something a month. As for the guys who pays couple hundred, it's only $2-3 bucks.
The RSV rules sound much much better. I'll hopefully upgrade soon and I would love to, possibly, sit Long Call back home.
I know everyone wanted rates to go up, but it is what it is. The call yesterday made a good point. This thing can be opened back up in 1.5 years. By then, assuming we have new flying past '18, the hiring pool will be virtually next to nothing and that there would be extreme leverage.
It's a tough spot. If voted down I don't see us getting another TA at all. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it considering how long it took for this one.

Ugh. The union guys need to get on the same page then. I listened to the call yesterday and I am, damn near positive, when the question came up about the headset bank, someone said it was tied in with the uniform bank and that the uniform bank is now $310 or something as opposed to $260.

"This three-year agreement includes, among other improvements, annual cost-of-living pay increases for all pilots, a significant increase in first-year first officer pay, an increase to the per diem rate, a reduction to the percentage pilots pay for health insurance premiums, an increase to the company's 401(k) contributions, and a retention bonus."

Their first year pay is better than what we're being offered... but that could be offset by the "training note" provision MAG has in their TA - and at Mesa, I don't think it's just for new hires but for captain upgrades as well. $13,000 I believe, and one year?
But hey, they get a signing bonus, and annual pay bump of 1.5%.

Good. Those guys should vote No. Force the majors to bring the flying back in house or pay up. Dougie and the rest had enough multi million dollar bonuses made off our backs. Raise pay to a competative market price in line with the rest of the modern world.

Ok, two points where I think we are looking at this the wrong way by letting the company/union frame the argument...
1. This TA is not concessionary. GREAT! Why would it be? All of the airlines are making record profits. Why would anyone take ANY concessions.
2. We are already the highest paid 50 seat outfit, what can we expect? Awesome! Why are we even discussing that? What we should be discussing is... when the company needed a concession the pilots gave concessions. The company doesn't need concessions now, our starting point should be the pre-concession rates plus 1.5% a year. Why are they fighting the restoration of the rates?
If the TA passes, my finacial benefit will be less than $750 ($1.77 x 80 hr/mo + $45/mo in per diem for 4 months). I'm sure I'll be able to make that up if we sign the contract we should be getting...
