Training as I recall was monthly guarantee, single occupancy. I don't remember if we got per diem or had to file for it separately, maybe someone else who recently went through can chime in.

Happy to hear that a pilot group with an industry leading contract is extending the life of their CPA. I hope you do well in contract negotiations.

This is the Regional model. Accept it, get in and get out as soon as possible.

Xjt was told the same thing in December 2013 when our concessionary TA came out.

Someone here already compiled a spreadsheet. I have to look for it and then I'll post.

Hourly pay is an absolutely worthless variable from which to compare. There are too many outside factors that can change this greatly.

On a side note, what does AWAC pay during training (minimum? Per Diem? Average monthly income?)
I interviewed and received an offer from AWAC two weeks ago. They provided us a document outlining training pay:

Training pay is a flat fee of $66.00 per day (before taxes) while in ground and sim training. IOE is paid at the first year FO rate at minimum guarantee. Single occupancy hotel during training.

AWAC doesn't pay per diem in training IIRC. They "base" you in ATW while in training. Not sure how they are handling the different sim bases now, maybe you'll get per diem then. I remember my after tax pay my first year was $630 every two weeks not including uniform deduction.

Which brings up a note - as a new hire you must purchase a uniform. KEEP THE RECEIPT and when the next year rolls around you get your uniform bank filled. You can then expense the initial new hire uniform out of that bank.

(This was a decade ago...but) I remember my first 15th pay check on second year pay. It was so much money (around $2,100 after tax) I called my wife and said "you'll never guess how much they paid me...$2000!". "Wow..." she says. Thought we had hit it big. Haha.

You should be paid about 68 and some change a day. Our long term training pay is 2.5hrs a day @ your current rate which is $27.23 now.

Basically you get min guarantee $27*75hrs / 30days = $67.5 per day.

that's where the 67 number comes from, no per diem in ground because you're based in ATW, once you get to sims you'll have a base so you'll get per diem. IIRC

You must submit an expense report in order to collect Per Diem during training away from your base. It is not paid automatically. At least that's how it is for our recurrent training.

training in ATW 4 weeks. 2 weeks indoc, 2 weeks systems, 3 tests. get paid during training the monthly guarantee. final day after systems test you are taken down to MKE to mx hanger and do your walk around and stuff. next day you are free to jumpseat/ nonrev home from MKE. hotel is downtown ATW, nice place and plenty of watering holes nearby and good food around, plenty to do, you can rent a car for $15 a day an go down to oshkosh or up to to green bay for the afternoon on the weekend. single occupancy, sims are in CVG, very few go to CLT. junior guys get about 2 weeks off. senior guys just a few days. stressful but fun time.

Monday-Friday. 8 to about 4-5 depending on how much has to be covered. Sometimes you can out earlier but typically vans come at 4 in average. Khakis, polo/button down. First day you needed a suit.
