"unfortunately the Company stated that they wish to "park" Article 8 (Paid Days Off) and that they also are not willing to negotiate any further on Article 1 (Scope) and Article 25 (Duration)."

Things are moving smoothly over there.

The real question is what to offer new hires and how to pay for that without being wholly owned financially supported.

Is that a topic of negotiation?

Well it seems to me if you have nothing to give to get new hires in the door, you are going to have to shrink and be among the first to close down once that time is upon us in two to three years. For example, Endeavor with their $20,000 yearly retention bonuses paid to all new hires. Obviously this must be financed by Delta. But they are wholly owned so it is possible.

How does RAH attract new hires to make negotiating a good contract even relevant? You've been without a contract for so long, it seems the damage is basically done and maybe irreversible from a new hire standpoint.

Money is the only thing that will get new hires here. If they won't pay we probably will just shrink with attrition. Republic is in the process of buying a flight school in FL, this maybe how they plan on staffing.

You should ONLY take a job at RAH if every other airline and 135 op has turned you down. It's that simple. There isn't a place (possibly including Great Lakes) that isn't better than Republic. Only a matter a time before going there effectively ends your career as nobody will hire from YX or S5 knowing you have to be the absolute bottom of the barrel to end up there over any other airline including PSA and Mesa.

Yes. It's going to be called the Republic Connection Academy and their motto will be "Being owned by Republic means everything".

I'm not defending RAH by any means, but to say that PSA is a good choice makes anything you say questionable. Don't feed the machine stay away from both of these places.

PSA is hiring and getting more planes, RAH will be losing 1 if not more of its contracts soon......I'm saying as a current student/flight instructor you shouldn't apply to a place that wont be around before you can upgrade.

Still, have the decency to stay away from a place that voted Yes and perpetuated the cycle, when everyone else was voting No.
