As a former YX driver, I hope my former colleagues realize this LLBFO was nothing but an end around to section 6, and should be voted on as such. From what I've been able to read of the 217 pages so far, it's not where it needs to be. Good luck guys, you deserve a great contract, as does every other regional pilot.

It is in the current contract but not really useable by the company due to the language. The new proposal fixes that for the company. 8 hour shifts and pays 5 hours.

Period. why are airlines always somehow exempt from paying fairly?
The 125% is for flight hours only above 87. Deadheads don't count towards this. If you had a line that flew over the 87 you still get the premium you don't have to pick up extra flying.

Open time looks like it will pay 100%, 115%, 130%, or 150% depending on how the company designates the day.

Fixes it for the company.....as in removing the requirement for a suitable rest facility for the standby pilot? Is this why it has not been used in the past? Half the damn crew rooms are nothing more than a computer and a v file cabinet.

So when your line includes deadheading all over God's creation, it does nothing to get you closer to 87 hours of actual block that you need for premium pay to kick in. Putting lipstick on the pig fellas.

The current crew rooms meet the requirements old or new. The requirement to give the pilot time to go home to get an overnight bag has been removed. That's the reason it doesn't get used now.

No the current contract requires the company to give you enough time to go home and get an overnight bag when you're on hot reserve if you are being overnighted somewhere. Basically they can only use it to cover day trips so they would rather not pay the 5 hours vs the 4 hrs for regular reserve.
