on their end, factoring in 160 seats replacing 136 seats factors in as well.
(dumbing it down for the slower among us)

Skyvector is 100% spot on. PIC time has no longer the same effect as it had few years back. You'll be competing even harder with all the other thousands of Captains with more hrs than you at the other regionals/LCC's/Military/Corporate/Cargo airlines. Flow means less street hires which makes it even harder to fight for those few spots available. Flow IS the way to the Majors. Be ahead of the curve.

exactly

so far this year, AA has hired 32 off the street, and 73 from Envoy.

Yeah until it goes away, which I hope doesn't happen for the sake of everyone there. But there is no bulletproof plan to get to the majors. There is no flow, no quick upgrade, or anything else that is immune to getting mothballed in this industry. Now obviously I hope these things don't happen, but I've seen it happen from the sidelines in the past.

AA could not be around in 10 years. Highly unlikely, but anything is possible and I wouldn't throw all of my eggs in one basket and count on this as my golden ticket to the majors. Parker isn't an idiot and there are ways around everything.

Can someone from Envoy and PDT post their respective LOA stating the AA flow commitment? Does the LOA specifically address hiring outside of seniority number? Must the contractual commitment(50% of class or 3/month) be complete before hiring Joe Blow that is not in seniority order?

Thanks

3/month increasing every 125 pilots on the list by 1/month or the lessor of 25% per class. We will increase to 4/month by September. Base number is 350 pilots. We flow whenever AA or US has a class. No ability for the airline to hold pilots back for any reason. When all is said and done here we will be flowing 7/month this time next year and if we double in size like our new president (former usairways vp of flight ops) says we are we'll be at 14/month.

If you have any PDT questions feel free to msg me.

Ill say it again. DONT CHASE FLOWS OR GUARANTEE INTERVIEWS. Go to a non-wholly owned.

how about go to a wholly owned airline that has a flow with a reasonable estimate and then apply to go in through the front door also.

Not true. PSA cannot go through the front door to AA. envoy can and has. In fact, we sent 3 guys the last month that the street hiring stopped.
