Go back and find something I stated that was wrong. Go back to the PDT TA thread and look how many AWAC folks bashed us. I've not even come close to the venom you guys tossed at us. Welcome to the table and it's your turn to grab the sh&t pie also. PSA took a bit, Pdt and Envoy. Hell a bunch of Regionals have.
Look at the Brightside. You vote this in and you still remain one of the top paid Regionals and one with a damn good contract. However if you can't move the senior people out of there then FO's will start jumping ship. Increases in first year pay isn't going keep people there. Anyone that can upgrade in just over a year will take that airline. Any normal person thats seen this industry knows that's what will happen. Don't need to be a rocket scientist. Piedmont used to be that airline and times have changed.
Honestly looking at AWAC deal I feel actually ours is WAY better.
Good Luck

Here is what I know (and you as well)... NOTHING! Not a single person on here knows what the regional landscape will be like in five years.
Things that seem pretty apparent to me (but maybe not to you guys who have genius level intellects)...
1) Will you need PIC to get hired two, three or five years from now? Most people seem to think not, but even so... I'll take my chances. There has already been a significant drop in hours/astronaut qualifications required at the major airlines. Slow trickle for the last year (if you call 100+ a month per airline a slow trickle), but within a couple of years hiring will be ridiculous. I'm glad guys that have flow will flow, but my money is on anyone hired today would get hired on without flow before the flow would kick in...
2) Tomorrow, if some ridiculous world event happened, would you rather be stuck where you are or where I am? No flow at that point for sure...
3) It would be great if ALL regional airlines would band together around the campfire and sing songs and make smores. The reality is... Almost every other regional who has agreed to a TA has either taken a step back or taken such a small step forward that it doesn't even compare to our concessionary contract. Arguably a point of fact, AWAC has the best contract (overall) in the regional industry (yes, I know that's an oxymoron). Anything that makes it even marginally better, makes it that much better than the others.
(Billy, Oxymoron means a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction.)
