I haven’t bothered to look to carefully at the pairings, but I wouldn’t be surprised if all the long layovers are somehow 25:59 or just a little under to avoid the rental car clause. Kinda how all long airport sits are 4:59 or less to avoid hotel day rooms. Never underestimate a bean counter.

Read the communication from the scheduling committee. There are over 800 pairings with a sit of more than 25:59.

Damn. Oh well. I’ll try to look at the bright side. I’m sure a thirty hour layover in Minot or Grand Rapids should be lovely this time of year. 😃😃

Nobody should be rushing to make that A to C quick turn any way. Take your time, hit the bathroom, and grab a coffee. If those keep going out on time, that says to the company "it is perfectly okay to do this".

Not good. Too many pilots, not enough flying.

Actually it is 269. It was originally 800 but was reduced down to 269 after negotiation with the scheduling committee.

What’s odd is that most of them are on AA.

Not at the ratio of our flying though. It’s much steeper towards AA. If the ratio were correct it would be something like 124 AA, 48 DL, 96 UA not 228 AA, 20 DL, 21 UA.
