The alternative solution is for management to use the big “F” word and force you to stay home, scrambling for a new job. Which at that point, you probably would have wished you just stayed in Omaha the extra 10 hours.

If you want a contract passed that constrains every little move management would be allowed to make, the company eventually is not sustainable and they close shop. Then nobody wins and we’re all drowning.

Wow...

Dude you have no clue what you’re talking about. The company was doing just fine before the dramatic and unnecessary moves they’ve just made. Get back to studying and spend some time on the line before you decide to give your uneducated input again.

If I remember correctly, the previous language stated you got a rental car if the overnight was one calendar day or longer.

"We don't have a contract with "XYZ rental cars in the podunk town your overnighting in, so you'll have to put it on your personal CC and then put in a request for reimbursement. Oh, and by the way, we don't rent from the airport location so you'll have to get the hotel shuttle to get you into town for that rental."

Wow, really dude, please educate me then! Since you deem these decisions so “dramatic and unnecessary,” management must have made them just to personally make your life miserable apparently.

How are less 4 days in commuter bases anything but worse for the pilot group? How is a decrease in productivity anything but worse for the pilot group? These are decision management did not have to make but chose to and it is a dramatic shift from the way we’ve been operating for a long time.

Republic has never been commuter friendly. Remember, we choose to commute.

We’re currently way over staffed on FO’s. Management doesn’t want to keep paying “vacations” because most of these guys on reserve know they’re not gonna be flying.

Where is the decrease in productivity? Your personal productivity and efficiency unfortunately is negatively affected but the company is not. They’re making an effort to use all their resources. This is great for the pilot group, because in theory everyone has a shot at some flying.

I think we (pilots) are just collateral damage with these scheduling changes. The real pain will be felt by the FAs, who will not be paid during the 24+ hour overnight. Funny FAs voted a TA down a few months ago.

Yeah, so why should those of us with seniority be effected by those of you with out because management chose to make poor decisions?

You seem to be making excuses for the company. I refuse to do that.
