I honestly don’t think RPA even wants to. They just keep dangling that carrot because they know it’s what pilots want. Republic will always be the east coast and outstation airline. Bedford literally came in to our upgrade class and said westward flying doesn’t fit our outstation maintenance strategy. It would be too hard to integrate that flying so far from maintenance bases. They can barely keep ORD functioning.
Also, what kind of CEO doesn’t want to be on top? You don’t get into that position if you accept stagnant reality and have zero drive for expansion. Investors want returns.

Republic is a very lean (CHEAP)company. The west coast is expensive, and so far away from Indianapolis. I hear BB was in MAF last month, so maybe we’re getting a midland outstation base. Oh and management is saying they expect a big announcement before 3rd quarter 2019.

Republic has invested a HUGE amount of money and resources recently. I doubt that’s because mainline doesn’t “want anything to do with us.” If BB made moves like he had with no solid goal/plan on the horizon, this place would have been down the tubes years ago!
