Here’s your answer, folks! This guy gets it. I’m surprised no one has already brought this up.

This scheduling change, which more adversely affects the FAs than us pilots, is directly related to them voting down the contract.

That sounds like a grievance! I’m sure they will do this in MTY though, so we will see if the IBT pushes the grievance.

Absolutely! That’s what you’re suppose to do when the company willfully violates a CBA. The CBA is pretty clear on this requirement. Would you prefer the union not enforce our CBA?

Obviously the company can construct pairings as they see fit, because our CBA doesn’t prevent this. They do have to provide a rental for overnights greater than 26 hours or go to an arbitrator and explain why they’re not following the agreement.

File a grievance or not, the union won’t do anything about it anyway.

I’ve had an open grievance for months and haven’t even heard from the union once. I appreciate everything they do, but it’s clear they’re in over their heads against RPA management.

I had the same thing happen last year. Email a steward and ask for a update. Some within union leadership are very pro company, so make noise if you want a issue grieved.

Elections are coming this year. Lot of new faces, with varying legal or labor backgrounds. Things are going to change

I hope we clean house this time around; it’s time for real representation.
