He did say this right after making mention of the 100 E-jet order... I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers that we have a growth announcement coming, and not something unrelated like that.

Maybe it’s the 12-15 aircraft he quoted in an email on 2/10/2018 that will arrive on property during the back half of 2018... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I remember him saying the same thing in 2008, and we bought F9 and YX. But seriously he is notorious for making a lot of noise about minor growth. I wouldn’t trust a word that he says.

BB also announced to our class that his immediate goal is to directly compete with Skywest and hinted at westward expansion. His exact quoted words were to “knock Skywest off their pedestal.”
So it’s either that he is failing in doing this, atleast in the immediate short term. Or, there’s something going on behind the scenes. Anybody’s guess at this point.

I honestly don’t think RPA even wants to. They just keep dangling that carrot because they know it’s what pilots want. Republic will always be the east coast and outstation airline. Bedford literally came in to our upgrade class and said westward flying doesn’t fit our outstation maintenance strategy. It would be too hard to integrate that flying so far from maintenance bases. They can barely keep ORD functioning.

Newest rumor from the training center is that BB wants to open an outstation maintenance/crew base in Farmington, NM to compete with SkyWorst on the west coast. Apparently he got a good deal on hangar space from the late Great Lakes. Of course he’s not in a position at the moment to comment on the rumor though.

That’s interesting considering it doesn’t have airline service....
