No matter who gets voted in NOTHING is going to change. The union has no balls and the company knows this. Why was I paying a fukcing assement fee for years with NO help from the teamsters while they are throwing golfing outings in Vegas?? It sounds like Repulic is turning into a **** show....

Agreed, paid 13 years of dues to the useless Teamsters. Filed 1 grievance, yes just one, that was a “slam dunk win” according to the steward.... for me to get a UNA removed back in the day when 2 UNA’s were grounds for possible termination. My grievance was withdrawn by the union.

I wouldn’t say it’s a **** show. It’s just stagnant. There’s no new flying, we’ve lost American and Delta to OO in Chicago, ORD and IAH are stagnant ghost towns. Skywest is now coast to coast with a LGA base and we can barely get west of the Mississippi.
I think what we’re seeing is just how set in their ways Republic is. Outstation crew and maintenance basing on the east coast will always prevent them from going too far west. That’s straight from managements mouth.

The guys with ALPA representation say the same thing about their reps. Do you have a solution or just prefer to complain? Have you ever volunteered your time to try and improve things?

Welcome to union representation in the 21st century. Surprised? Nothing more than a corporate middleman.

So it’s either that he is failing in doing this, atleast in the immediate short term. Or, there’s something going on behind the scenes. Anybody’s guess at this point.

ALPA, I can't complain nearly as much as I did with the truck drivers union. If I file a grievance they follow through.

BB also announced to our class that his immediate goal is to directly compete with Skywest and hinted at westward expansion. His exact quoted words were to “knock Skywest off their pedestal.”

Hopefully it is not like the last time he said this when the "big anouncement" ended up having zero benefit to the current pilot group. LIFT
