Our bidding systems works 4 months out (e.g. the base vacancies that close on June 5th, 2019 will be effective October 1, 2019) therefore the Junior In Base may not be bidding in that base yet, but they have been awarded it. The Junior Bidder column will tell you who is actually in that base as of June 2019.

Glad we have more reserves going to outstations just where we need them

 

They need all those deadheading CAs and FOs to fill those half empty planes they got going into and out of the outstations

 

For anyone curious, 11/6 class is just starting IOE. One guy has had a bid in for DCA and MIA past few months with no luck. Our class has gotten ORD, MCI, and almost any other base in system but DCA seems backed up and MIA is gonna be a wait. But we’re in month 7 and are just gettin IOE for month 8 so be patient.

Not sure how that's the case when a 1/22 hire has been awarded DCA.

 

I was about to mention that too. There are 5 people at DCA who are junior to me, and I'm in the 12/11 class.

 

You know it doesnt matter how junior you are, if theres no vacancy or people more senior than you bidding for the same position then you're not getting that award.

 

I think the point is that if someone in the 12/11 class has 5 people junior to them in DCA then an 11/6 hire would certainly have had the opportunity to get DCA unless their bid was put in after everyone else was awarded DCA and there were no vacancies.
