They are shrinking classes due to lack of check airmen which is create a major delay with IOE

Does anyone have a pretty decent guess on wait times from LOE to IOE?

Default RPA vs. EDV

I want to get others opinions while I have to make a decision soon. I currently have an offer from both RPA and EDV. I am 21 years old and will live in ATL. Both class dates are early Sept. I would obviously eventually get the ATL base for EDV and would get the DCA base for RPA. I have family in DCA so it would be an ideal commute situation. Overall goal is definitely Delta. From what I have seen I would get there faster through RPA. Is it worth it to "risk" it and go with RPA in this situation to get to Delta faster? Or do I accept waiting at EDV?

I am an RPA Kool-Aid drinker and will argue with anyone that wants to waste their time that RPA is the best regional in the game. However, given your location and goals, EDV is a no-brainer, in my opinion.

Ever hear of the $36.62 club Andy? You might want to calm down and understand it’s just business with the reverend and RAH isn’t always rainbows. Get your time and get out. All regionals are stepping stones. Good luck.

No idea how this post is at all relevant to anything I posted. There isn’t a regional in the game that has a better work rules contract than Republic. That’s a fact. Whether or not it’s a stepping stone is irrelevant. We all have to start somewhere. I had never been inside an airplane when the $36.62 club was around. Currently, right now, today, Republic is the best there is at this level. That doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. It doesn’t mean we don’t need a new contract. It doesn’t mean the company is perfect or gives a **** about its pilots. It just means we’ve got it better than anyone else.

My point was that you might want to put down the RAH kool aid and realize that while Republic might be “the best regional” now, it may not be in a few months and everyone is in negotiations. RAH along with others has a history of dragging out the CBA. Pilots are leaving in record numbers so my comment about get your time and get out still stands. You’re right that everyone has to start somewhere, that’s why I wish you luck. Cheers

Interviewed 3 weeks ago and was told I would be receiving a job offer but haven't heard anything. Anyone know if that's normal or should I follow up?

Had the same thing happen to me last year. Was told I’d be getting a call within 3 days. Waited 3.5 weeks. I would just call any contact you have or email and explain the situation.
