Bases and Reserve

What these youngins don’t understand is Sept & Oct are historically months the traveling public doesn’t fly. So the airlines normally reduce flying in these two months so pilots don’t time out at 1000 hrs (granted it is a rolling 12 months). Which in turn makes a lot more folks sit reserve. But yes those numbers sound about right. Lots of junior folks hold Sept/Oct vacations to, who are normally on reserve, therefore making the company build more reserve lines. If Nov & Dec lines are that horrible, then it is time to bail and jump ship!
Quite a long way from last year when FOs were offering $200 to $500 to get ride of trips as everybody was worked to the max and nobody was picking things up off the trade boards.

that actually has nothing to do with why reserves are so high across the board. It was never that bad in years past during oct or nov (except covid) .

Sounds like I have many more years of experience than you and therefore new hires should pay more attention to my input and very little in what you YX newbie cheerleaders input is? Huh! That 46/hr times 75 guarantee or 3450 before taxes sure ain’t paying the bills to live “in base”. I tired to warn them and you said I was crazy. Now I can say “I told you so”. Let me know if you want any more advice for the future. I’ll start now, BB is not going to give you a fair contract. Leave now and get to JetBlue while you can before their window closes.

Everybody: It is painfully obvious CFI is an FO at Envoy and has several troll accounts. Sometimes he forgets and posts with the wrong ID in other threads. He was obviously rejected by RPA and this is his way of "getting back" at them. lol

All the self-respecting FOs are too busy solving the Next Friday Baby Joker dilemma.

Congratulations on responding to a post and proceed to refute nothing in it and strawman something I have never said before.
